What is PincGiving?
PincGiving is a community focused site that enables personalized giving through either fundraising pledge pages or direct donations. Additionally, PincGiving has created Charity Gift Cards.
How does PincGiving operate?
PincGiving operates on transactional revenue. This means that we never apply for the same grants and foundation funds that the charities we exist to help are applying for.
What is the Cost to use PincGiving?
PincGiving operates on a transactional fee of 3.8% and a 25 cent fee per donation which is agreed to with each transaction on the PincGiving site.
Where does PincGiving get its list of Charities on the site?
PincGiving imports databases of Registered Charities from government records. Alternately a user can create a "User
Campaign" which means that it is a smaller or personally driven campaign that they have provided references for so
that PincGiving can check the validity of the fundraising campaign.
Can I link to your site?
Absolutely. Additionally, an API can be created for direct fundraising off of your site. Your user never leaves your website, and it is a seamless transaction.
I work/volunteer for a Charity and would like to set up a Pledge Page may I do so?
Yes, anyone can set up a pledge page on behalf of a registered charity. As they are registered with the government we can process donations for them easily. If you work or volunteer however for a non registered charity you will have to provide two references so we can determine whether your organization qualifies for our fundraising pledge pages.
What countries Charities' does PincGiving support?
Currently PincGiving has all registered charities in Canada, United States and Australia. We are in the process of adding the UK database of registered charities.
Can I create event invitations and lists through PincGiving?
At this point no, you will have to send out invitation lists separately from your fundraising endeavour. However you can track who has donated to your fundraising page as a part of recognition system for those that do donate and attend.
PincGiving Charity Gift Cards
What is a Charity Gift Card?
Much like a traditional gift card the PincCharity Gift Card enables the recipient of the Gift Card to decide which charity or organization to support with their Charity Gift Card dollars. It is a truly personalized gift which demonstrates both the purchasers desire to present a gift that has real meaning and the recipients desire to contribute to a cause important to them.
How does it work?
The Pinc Charity Gift Card works by a purchaser either buying an electronic card directly from
www.pincgiving.com or by purchasing a physical card, which can be done easily by contacting us at
. When an electronic card has been purchased an email will be sent directly to the recipient who can then redeem the card online. Whether it is a physical card or electronic card each Charity Gift Card is loaded with donation dollars dependant on the value a purchaser places on the card.
If I buy an E-Charity Gift Card can I print it off?
Absolutely, the important piece of the email is the Charity Gift Card Number so whether you print off the ecard or simply retain it in your email inbox is your preference.
Does PincGiving do personalized Charity Cards for school fundraisers and corporate giving?
Yes, Any Pinc charity gift card can be personalized and branded with the company or organizations information. Also, as a part of the MatchGiving program which PincGiving has launched the cards can be tracked and then the corporations can see where the funds are going and if desired "Match" the gifts to the different charities. What if my recipient does not redeem their card?
Any funds not donated within one year will be directed towards the Pinc Foundation. This will be carried out unless a previous agreement has been reached with an organization.
What if the ecard or physical card is lost?

and we will do our best to provide you with the information necessary to redeem your card.
When are the funds directed towards the Charity I choose to support?
PincGiving issues the funds once a month on the 15th. Depending on the method of delivery for different charities they either receive the funds instantaneously or by mail within a few days.
How do you Redeem your Pinc Charity Gift Card?
- Click on the Charity card image, select redeem card and donation amount in your chosen currency.
- Choose between donating to a registered Charity or a pledge.
- Donate anonymously or set up a recurring monthly donation if you want.
- Login into your PincGiving account or create a login name by selecting "I am a New User".
- Enter the Charity Card Number, Confirm Payment & You're Done!
How Do you Load or Reload your Charity Card?
- Click on the Charity card image, select "Load/Reload Your Card" and enter your Charity Card Number.
- Enter the total value you wish to load on the card and select Currency.
- Login to your PincGiving account or create a profile by selecting "I Am a New User".
- Fill out the necessary information and ensure your changes are saved.
- Enter your Credit Card Information, confirm your purchase of Charity Gift Card dollars & You're Done!
How do you Purchase a Charity Card?
- Click on "Donate Now" and select your cause and the donation amount in your chosen currency.
- "Donate anonymously" or "Set Up a Recurring Monthly Donation" if you want.
- Login by to PincGiving and create a profile.
- Enter your credit card OR Charity Gift Card number
- Confirm the donation & You're Done!
How do you check your Charity Card Balance?
- Click the Charity Gift Card image on the homepage and select "Check Card Balance".
- Enter your 15 digit sequence of numbers on your, found on the back of your Charity Gift card.
- Your Charity Gift Card Balance will then appear.
How do you order Customized Pinc Charity Gift cards?

How do you "Add" an Address to your profile?
- Login to your PincGiving user account.
- On the left hand side select "My Profile"
- To view current addresses or to add one select "Show my addresses"
- To add a new billing address select "Add an Address" and fill out the necessary information.
- Select "Save Address" to make sure your changes are saved.

Can I make a donation with a cheque?
NO. PincGiving.com exists to be an ecommerce platform for donation processing and we work most effectively when
maintaining that mandate. If there special arrangements are required for a particular fundraising pledge page then
please make arrangements before setting up a fundraising pledge page with a PincGiving staff member at

How will a monthly or Recurring donation work?
If you choose to donate monthly to a given charity or fundraising pledge page PincGiving holds your information
securely and processes the funds once per month. The amount you have selected will then be taken from your
account on a monthly basis in support of your chosen organization.
How will I receive my Charitable tax receipt for Monthly/Recurring donations?
A charitable tax receipt will be sent to the donor from Pinc Productions or the charity directly if no batch receipting is
available. You may have separate receipts for the totals mailed to your home.
Can I cancel a monthly or Recurring donation?
Absolutely. In your login information at the bottom of your information fields, modify or cancel your choices under "My
Recurring Donations".
How will I receive my receipt for a donation made through pincgiving.com?
You will receive a transactional financial receipt direct to your inbox right after completing a donation. For a charitable tax receipt PincGiving forwards the names of all donors to the charities who then issue the donations. This is done unless PincGiving has an agreement with a particular charity to do auto-receipting; in which case you will receive a charitable receipt immediately after your donation is processed.
If I purchase a Pinc Charity Gift Card who receives the charitable receipt?
The Purchaser of the Pinc Charity Gift Card is eligible for a receipt as they were the individual responsible for initiating the donation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.

What Safeguards are there to ensure my donation goes where I intend it to?
PincGiving ensures the safety and security of its online donations via a secure donation portal integrated with our banking systems. The 15th of every month PincGiving releases funds to the designated charities along with detailed lists of the donor name and information. Pinc strives to operate with clear and direct charges and also therefore operates with a mindset of ensuring corporate accountability. Every donation and payment processed through the PincGiving.com website can be traced directly from the donor to the Charity. This is a matter of utmost importance to us and we continually strive to meet the high level of commitment we have set to ensure the transparency of our donation portal and fundraising system. Fundraising Pledge Pages
How do you Create a Fundraising Pledge Page?
- Select "Fundraise Online" & click "Create a Fundraising Pledge Page".
- Login to PingGiving with your email address and password or Select "I am a new user" if you are not
registered and create a login profile
- Under "Create a Pledge Page" follow the instructions and fill out the necessary information
- Write a description that encompasses your reasons for creating the pledge page.
- email your friends and family and let them know you have created this fundraising pledge page. You are done!
How do you Edit a Fundraising Pledge Page?
- Login to your PincGiving account
- On the left hand side will be a display of your pledge page(s).
- Under the Pledge Page title, click "Edit".
- Make changes on the page but note that you cannot change the currency once your pledge page is created.
- Make sure to save changes by clicking "Apply Changes".
How do you Check your Donations?
- Login to your PincGiving account via the "Login" button on the homepage under "Donate".
- Click the "My Donations" button
- This will provide a new page that will list your donations, to whom and the totals.
How Do you Check "Recurring Donations"
- Login to your PincGiving account on the homepage under "Donate" and cllick the "My Recurring Donations"
button.
- This will show you with a list of any recurring donations that you have signed up for.
- To have "Recurring Donations" select "Set Up a Recurring Monthly Donation?" when making your donation.
