World Challenge! 

 

Hello! My name is Lotte Samuels. I am a 16 year old student going to Palmers sixth form college. 

In July 2008, 9 students including myself will be taking part in a world challenge expedition to Argentina for one month.

In Argentina we will be working with the local children in small communities who don't have much in life. We will be working in an orphange, playing with the children and taking them presents. We will also paint the orphange and take part in some sort of construction work to make it more colourful and to create a nicer place to live in for the children. We will also be teaching the children some English.

Whilst in Argentina, we will also meet with adults living in small villages and interact with them. We will be taking an interest in their culture and learning about their culture.

We will be taking part in many fund-raising events inside college and out. One of which is a sponsered run in March. We will be running for 15km.

In order for us students to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience we need to raise £3,345 each.

Any donation would be grately appreciated since we only have 7 months to raise this amount and it would help us reach the goal by July that little bit easier. If we don't raise enough money, we will not be able to take part in this expedition.
