Walk Story is the Hawaii chapter of BALLE (http://livingeconomies.org). We are preparing to launch or have launched several programs which could be further enhanced with your support. The programs include:
- A "Keep it Local" campaign to support local merchants and build community capital. This campaign
- A sustainable agriculture campaign called "Ainability" which is dedicated to food self-reliance. Ainability helps provide easy access to lots more relevant information for decision-makers and connects landholders, growers, goods & services providers and buyers.
- A clean energy program to help achieve energy self-reliance. This program focuses on energy monitoring, energy efficiency, renewable energy, carbon inventorying and offsetting, and financial info and models to help make it viable.
- A "policy portal" for higher levels of transparency in the county- and state-level government.
- An innovative 401k platform called the Hawaii Prosperity Plan
- A socio-ecopreneurial platform/incubator
