Dr. Lloyd Lionel Campbell
Dr. Lloyd L. Campbell lived a life of excellence. Over and over again he served as an example and inspiration, emphasizing the importance of education. Dr. Campbell received a Bachelor's in Community Health from St. Joseph's College, a Master's in Political Science from Brooklyn College, and in 2005, despite physical setbacks, his PhD in Human Services from Walden University. Dr. Lloyd L. Campbell was truly a lifelong learner. He believed that education was the ticket out of poverty and oppression.
To pay homage to Dr. Lloyd Campbell, his daughter Natasha Campbell has led a team to open Summit Academy Charter School. Summit Academy bridges the gap between aspirations and reality by preparing 6th – 12th grade students to gain acceptance to, excel in and graduate from college using three pillars for success: mastery of core subjects, character building, and community leadership.
The school's goal is to ensure that every graduate, regardless of prior academic achievement level or socio-economic status will go on to , succeed in and graduate from college.
