Hi,  My name is Angus, and I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  As a result, I am in a power wheel chair and have limited resources physically.

However, this has not prevented me from playing my favorite sport, Soccer! I belong to a Power Soccer team called the Surrey Transformers.  We are a member of the Canadian Power Soccer Association (www.geocities.com/canadianpowersoccer).

Power Chair soccer is an international sport, one that we are trying to get recognized across Canada, currently we have teams here in British Columbia and in Quebec.

Canadian Power Soccer is a member of The International Federation of Powerchair Football, www.fipfa.org.

I have been asked to participate in the World Cup Congress as a Canadian Delegate, held in Japan on October 14, 2007. We need to raise money in order for not only myself to get there, but for one of my caregivers, as I require a lot of assistance both physically and medically.

To show my own initiative, I have dedicated $750.00 of my own money to get there but still need another $5,050.00.Please donate to not only raise money for a once in a lifetime opportunity, but also to increase awareness of this Canadian sport for people with disabilities who use powerchairs.

All excess funds will be donated to the Canadian Power Soccer Association.

Thank you so much

Angus
