Friends of Baleia Hospital in Brazil Fundraising

Since 1944, the Baleia Hospital has been playing a very important social role, rendering medical and hospital assistance, with a humanized approach and high quality.

We have been assisting about 500.000 people yearly, out of which are carried out through the Brazilian Public Service.

Located in in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais State, Brazil,  the Baleia  Hospital is a hospital complex formed by various units built on a reserved green area of 2.852.470 m2.

We pursue the excellence: the outcomes have come up. We have been recognized the the Brazilian Health and Education Ministries as a educational hospital, in view of its high quality services and to the development of scientific researches.

We have been recognized by our success in controlling hospital desease infection and several humanitarian initiatives that strenghen the values of life and citzenship.

 
Reference in the Brazilian Health Department, the Baleia Hospital hás a clinical body highly qualified and counts with 237 beds, being 91 for children.

Yearly, about 11.000 quimiotherapyc interventions  and 19.500 hemodialise are carried out and in excess of 27.000 children are assisted. The Hospital counts with 269 doctors in its clinic body and  35 sectors are made available.
