EPIC Community Projects raises funds for implementing the Community of Philosophical Inquiry in deprived communities.

Previous EPIC community projects have included:

1992 'Empowerment through Philosophical Dialogue' in Royston

Mothers and children from a deprived ares in Glasgow engaged in CoPI sessions over 2 months and developed family communication, literacy skills, increased confidence , increased well being.  Funded by Glasgow North and British Rail , the project was followed by a second EPIC Community project in Possil Park which developed literacy with adults through philosophical dialogue. 1993 -1994 ' Philosophy is Fun' in Castlemilk

Four groups of children and three groups of adults engaged in CoPI sessions over a year. Funded by 'Safe Castlemilk' this EPIC Community project succeeded in bringing two sides of the religious divide together and greatly reducing violence in the community.
