Brandon and I will be walking with the REACH team on October 19th, 2008 for Autism.

Autism Speaks' Walk Now for Autism is the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program.  It is a signature fundraising and awareness event taking place in communities across Canada and the United States and United Kingdom.

This generates vital funds for autism research and raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder. 

This disorder has personally impacted our family, Brandon being diagnosed in his 6th grade of school.  His struggle has been riddled with shame, adversity and confusion.

Through research, education and awareness, Brandon's success has been profound the last few years.  He has gained valuable support within our community and school system.  However, more support and research is still necessary for people with this complex disorder to have viable, rich, quality of lives.
